Aniling completes the Retos Colaboración project with the development of a genetic and epigenetic test (GEUS-LB®) for the early detection of colorectal cancer in a blood sample.
The Aniling -led project uses patented GEUS technology, which, for the first time, allows the simultaneous analysis of a large number of genetics and epigenetics markers in liquid biopsy. The development of the GEUS-LB® kit has been funded by the Ministry of Science and Innovation of Spain within the Retos Colaboración 2017 program with the participation of two reference health institutions, Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) and Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO). Aniling is already working on the next step: preparing the clinical validation phase and extending the technology to other cancers.
